Mission home
Our mission is to ensure that all youth have access to an arts education by supporting the transmission of the visual arts in all of its forms.
About Us
The Mel and Leta Ramos Family Foundation is a non-profit family foundation dedicated to the support of the visual arts education. Founded by family members of the late Mel and Leta Ramos, the Foundation’s work is in keeping with the lifelong passion of Mel and Leta Ramos to support the visual arts and visual artists through art-making, teaching, and creating learning opportunities for youth and future arts leaders.
Program Highlights

We continue to annually fund art supplies for 16 undergrad students, and funded 2 graduate students for their study abroad programs.

The foundation has partnered with the Crocker Art Museum to create The Mel and Leta Ramos Family Virtual Education Center, a comprehensive resource for educators looking to integrate art into their classroom, home, or community.

The Ramos Family Foundation is proud to be supporting 4 Teaching Artist Opportunities for students at Cal State University East Bay for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters, as well as 2 Juried Rising Student Awards.
